Biography of Luis A. Jimenez

Associate Attorney Luis A. Jimenez was born and raised in San Diego, CA. He attended San Diego State
University where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Luis made the Dean’s List on three
out of his four years at SDSU and, based on his academics, was recommended to several law schools by
a Superior Court Judge. Luis, then, earned a scholarship to attend law school in Charlotte, North
Carolina where he received his law degree from the Charlotte School of Law. After being admitted to the
State Bar of California, Luis decided to pursuit his lifelong dream of becoming a Criminal Defense
Attorney.
Luis has over 12 years of legal experience working with both private law firms and government agencies.
Luis’ Criminal Defense experience arises from a legal internship with the City of San Diego’s Office of the
City Attorney where he gained valuable experience by assisting deputy city attorneys with misdemeanor
cases. Luis also worked at the San Diego Superior Court as a court room clerk where he learned how to
effectively interact with Judges, court room clerks, and other criminal defense attorneys. Following law
school, Luis worked as a Paralegal with two criminal defense attorneys drafting legal documents and
assisting them with the handling of DUIs, prostitution, domestic violence, and other criminal matters.
Luis A. Jimenez is fluent in Spanish. Having grown up in a Hispanic community allows Luis to
communicate directly with his Spanish speaking clients. Luis’ ability to relate with the Hispanic and
